Online Presence and Internet Safety

I have quite a few online accounts. There’s Facebook, Skype, AOL, Google, and other accounts I had to make to receive access to various sites. I’ve given my information to so many sites, I can’t remember them all! Out of all of these, I only use a handful of them on a regular basis. I use AOL, Facebook, and Skype regularly to communication with friends and acquaintances. I have two Google accounts: one is for Kent State’s FlashLine and the other is for OHDELA homework purposes (like this blog) and personal use.

As I’m writing this, I’m realizing some flaws in my online presence. I try to give my information only to sites that don’t look shady, but oftentimes once I make an account, I forget about. There are all of these accounts out there with my name on them and I don’t know what’s going on with them because I don’t remember where I’ve made them at.  I don’t think this is wise. I need to keep track of all of the places that I make accounts and what my username and password are for those sites. If I had done this in the past, I would through that list and close accounts that I don’t use anymore. Unfortunately, I can’t do that now, but I can in the future!
